Howdy!
I played my first official solo gig last saturday at Bonden. It went pretty darn well I must say. It is pretty special to sit there by yourself, knowing that everything you sing and play is heard loud and clear. No drums or guitars to hide little mistakes behind.
I liked it a lot. And I reckon I am gonna do it again and again, and not only because it is so difficult getting a band together these days.
And there was a special new face in the crowd that got in on the act. I have no idea who he was, but a somewhat older gentleman appeared sometime during the second song and opened up the dancefloor for the evening with some lovely swaying and soft-spoken grunting. It was all quite pleasant and innocent until he started swaying ever closer to me and I started to wonder whether he was suddenly going give me a drunken beating.
But he didn’t. He just dropped all of his spare change out of his jacket pocket onto the dancefloor and was gently escorted out by the security staff.
I salute you, Tiny Dancer.
