Howdy all!
Thanks to everyone who made it down to our latest Stockholm gig at Landet. It was a great gig and we were all superhappy campers – well, except me, who had some monitor trouble and felt considerable panic for the duration of the show that I was singing out of tune. Thankfully it turns out that I wasn’t, but it could have been interesting.
But it was great to be able to rock out a bit with the band.
There were a lot of questions after the gig about when the new record is coming out. It was supposed to be ready a couple of weeks ago but the the pressing company sent the control printouts into orbit – I don’t know what happened to them but they disappeared and then it took a couple of weeks for them to get new ones to us. But, I have just now confirmed the order and we should have copies within a few weeks I guess, barring any future problems.
The timing of the arrival of the record makes everything a bit tricky in terms of release date. We were planning a release in early November, but now that the cd’s are delayed we are considering moving this date back. The major problem according to our management is that this brings us into conflict with all of the christmas releases. Apparently it is difficult to compete with old Bing Crosby compilations and so on. Understandably. So, the upshot is we are not exactly sure when te record will be released right now, but it might not be until January.
We might offer advance copies at gigs and stuff before this. But we will keep you informed.
In the mean time we are busy getting a whole bunch of new material ready, winding up the marketing machine, and gigging around.
